Early Life & Family

Born and raised in Soweto, Mrs. Salamina Mpeke learned the value of dedication and resilience early in life. She now resides in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, with her loving husband of 29 years, Fetsi. Together, they are blessed with five children.

Academic & Professional Development

A passionate lifelong learner, Mrs. Mpeke holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Leadership and Management from Henley Business College Africa, an NQF Level 5 in Wealth Management through INSETA, and an RE5 Certificate, along with several other short courses. Her commitment to continuous growth is evident in both her personal and professional life.

Faith, Calling & Testimony

By God’s grace, she is deeply passionate about people, leadership, and purpose-driven living. Her personal testimony is one of restoration and divine purpose. During a season of uncertainty in 2003, she sought God’s direction in prayer—and in that sacred space, He birthed a new vision in her heart. That moment became a turning point, igniting her passion for mentorship, prayer, and community transformation.

Ministry & Community Impact

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Mrs. Mpeke co-founded the Morning Fresh Dew Encounter (MFDE) with two close friends. What began as a prayer group has grown into a registered NPC supporting marriages, families, and youth.
MFDE is underpinned by a strong biblical and Christ-centered ethos, inspired by Isaiah 2:2–3, which speaks of nations flowing to the mountain of the Lord to be taught His ways and walk in His paths.
MFDE addresses critical issues such as substance abuse, unemployment, and the challenges faced by the boy child. The group now has over 60 members across South Africa, including KZN, Gauteng, Kimberley, Cape Town, Eastern Cape, and Limpopo.

Youth Empowerment & Mentorship

Mrs. Mpeke has successfully mentored over 20 young people into the workforce through learnerships, internships, and job placements at organizations like Discovery Health and others. In 2025, MFDE hosted its 4th Annual Youth Day Event in Johannesburg under the theme “Empowered for Purpose”, tackling real-life issues affecting today’s youth through meaningful dialogue.

At Morning Fresh Dew Encounter (MFDE), we are committed to empowering and encouraging individuals as they navigate life’s challenges. Joining the MFDE platform is the best ever gift God has blessed me with.
Through corporate prayers of this wonderful family, I’ve seen the hand of God in my life and my children’s lives. My daughter was on the list of those who were prayed for for job opportunities and she got a job and cherry on top she walks to her workplace… My son is starting to see life in God’s way, he is repenting from his crooked ways. In due time I will testify….

I feel the presence of God more than ever I have peace in my heart like never before, I lead in prayer in most activities at school I pray for the learners and lead them to Christ, all because of MFDE prayer sessions.

Growing in Faith

I joined the MFDE family in June 2025. Since then, I have found a spiritual family—people I can pray with and pray for. MFDE has given me a great platform: the opportunity to open in prayer at meetings to share the spiritual lessons I am learning. This is something I had never done before in my life, and it has been a huge step for me. I can clearly see myself growing spiritually and better understanding the language of the spiritual realm.

Four years ago, a sister invited me to join MFDE family- and WOW, what a journey it has been! Through daily sharing, I’ve seen the hand of Jesus move in powerful ways, especially when praying for others. Every revelation reminds me of His goodness and the endless grace of a loving Father. A Rekindled Fire

Before the Morning Fresh Dew Encounter, my spiritual life felt routine, but now it feels alive. That experience ushered me into a sacred space that fundamentally reshaped my relationship with God. My prayer is no longer just a list of requests, but a vibrant, two-way conversation. I’ve been spiritually revived, rejuvenated, and reconnected to the source of all life. The fire on my altar, which had once grown dim, is now forever burning.

The Power of Prayer

My mom early this year she was sick & they prayed for her & she was healed, we were praying for niece/ nephews one day & I called my nephew name who was smoking drugs & he decided to go to rehab & he was released last week, my cousins who were raised by my mom they opened a case at police station against me & we were going up & down to court & I won the case, I was also sick and was healed because of the prayers.

I joined MFDE early last year, and I’m deeply grateful to God for the invitation. Since then, I’ve witnessed remarkable growth in my walk with the Lord, and I’ve seen spiritual gifts begin to unfold in my life. One of the most powerful lessons I’ve learned is the importance of standing in the gap for children—a calling that has transformed my perspective and deepened my faith.
